Glossy Prepainted Coils

The Prepainted Coils we produce are the ideal choosing for the manufacturing of steel roof-tiles, corrugated panels, sandwich panels and various metallic accessories.  The paint layers are spread on the hot-dip galvanized substrate produced by our own Continuous Hot-Dip Galvanizing Line.

We produce hot-dip galvanized and prepainted steel coils according to EN 10169+A1 (for outer and inner applications in constructions) as per the following specifications:

  • Hot-Dip Galvanized substrate: usually DX51D+Z. In order to fulfil the customers’ requests, we can produce also Prepainted Coils having the steel grades DX52D+Z, DX53D+Z and S type structural steel grades (for example S220GD+Z, etc);
  • Zinc layer: between 100 and 275 gr/sqm, on the coils’ both sides;
  • Thickness: from 0.25 mm to 0.68 mm;
  • Width: between 1000 mm and 1250 mm;
  • Coil’s weight: 4 to 6 tones;
  • Coil’s inner diameter: 508 mm;
  • Coil’s outer diameter: 900-1500 mm ;

The paint used in our Continuous Painting Line is provided by European prominent producers. The layers’ thicknesses that can be spread by the Coating Line’s rolls and the types of the paint are as follows:

  • Primer:5 to 7 µm; The primer’s types that can be used: PU (polyurethane), Epoxy and Polyester. This layer prevents the occurring of the rust and provides the adherence of the paint layer to the substrate.
  • Top coat on the outer side of the coil: 18-25 µm; The paint’s types which can be used: PE (polyester), SMP, PVDF, PU (polyurethane), PVC and Acrylic. The paint on the top side of the coils is meant for aesthetic appearance and for the preventing of the rust.
  • Back coat on the reverse side of the coil; This paint prevent the rust and provide a very good adherence of the polyurethane foam for the sandwich panels production.

After the coating, we test samples of the finished product in our Laboratory according to EN 13523:
a) Basic tests:
– The paint layer’s thickness, according to EN 13523-1;
– The gloss, according to EN 13523-2;
– The difference between the standard sample and the tested sample, according to EN 13523-2;
– The adherence, according to EN 13523-2.

b) Specific tests:
– The resistance to the rapid deformation (impact test), according to EN 13523-2;
– The resistance to cracking and bending (T bending test), according to EN 13523-7;
– The adherence after indentation according to EN13523-6.

Colors:  RAL range of colors: usually 3000, 3005, 3009, 3011, 5005, 5010, 6005, 6011, 7016, 8017, 8019, 9002, 9005, 9006, 9010.

Upon the customers’ request, other colors from the RAL range could be provided, as well as special colors prepared based on the color sample provided by the customer.
